Statement of Organization and Purpose
The San Joaquin Valley Leadership Forum (SJVLF) is dedicated to promoting education, outreach and awareness to the public, individuals and organizations regarding various socio-economic and demographic challenges within the eight (8) county regions of the San Joaquin Valley in California.

Said Organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purpose, including for such purpose, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

The organization’s primary focus include capacity building, research, analysis, outreach and education within the following areas of socio-economic and demographical challenges: water resources, land use, air quality, waste management, energy, agriculture, education, public safety, economic development, transportation, housing, community health, volunteerism, and public service.

SJVLF is solely and exclusively a nonprofit public benefit organization – and as such is not organized for the private gain or benefit of any one person.

No substantial part of the activities of this organization shall consist of carrying on propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the organization shall not participate or intervene in any political campaign (including the publishing or distribution of statements) on behalf of any candidate for public office.

The property of this organization is irrevocably dedicated to charitable purposes and no part of the net income or assets of this organization shall ever inure to the benefit of any director, officer, or private person.

Upon the dissolution or winding up of the organization, its assets remaining after payment, or provision for payment, of all debts and liabilities of this organization shall be distributed to a nonprofit fund, foundation, or corporation, which is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes and which has established its tax-exempt status under IRC Section 501(c)(3).
